What should I expect in my first week?

Broc Shot is made of one the most powerful plants on earth – 3-day old broccoli sprouts. Each Broc Shot contains 100% whole broccoli sprout in a powdered form.

Broccoli sprouts and mature broccoli are cruciferous vegetables like kale, cauliflower, cabbage, brussels sprouts to name a few. All these vegetables have a special compound that has been clinically proven to help battle heart disease, certain cancers, gut problems, and certain other chronic diseases.

This special compound is called Sulforaphane (pronounced sul·for·a·fane). Sulforaphane has many healing properties with respect to diseases like cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, chronic inflammation, and mild to serious cognitive disorders. Sulforaphane also has beauty, gut health and cognitive benefits which is why Broc Shot is your all-in-one shot for beauty, body and brain.

What's the difference between Broc Shot and a greens powder?

First, greens powders are multivitamins in powder form and we are not a fan of multivitamins.

Our position and that of institutions like Johns Hopkins and those that have studied multivitamins are that "more isn’t better", and in fact, in volume, vitamins and minerals are rarely optimized and it can be difficult to know specifically what is working and what may not work for your own body. In addition, some greens powders contain ingredients not intended for long term use such as inulin and biotin.

Second, greens powders are focused on filling nutritional gaps. The flaw in this approach is that everyone has different nutritional needs.

Why broccoli sprouts?

What is Sulforaphane, how does it work and how do you pronounce it

It took us awhile to get it, hopefully this helps - sul·for·a·fane.

Sulforaphane is a sulfur-rich compound found in cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, bok choy, and cabbage. It’s found at the highest levels in broccoli sprouts, 50-100x more than in mature broccoli.

Everyone has heard of antioxidants, right? Antioxidants are like a weapon. You eat some blueberries (or anything else that is rich in antioxidants) and they help fight to stabilise free radicals, stopping them from wreaking havoc on your body.

Sulforaphane is very different. It doesn't just stop free radicals—it activates the body's entire natural antioxidant system – essentially biohacking your body to defend itself. So to carry the analogy – it’s not just giving you a weapon, it’s making you into a complete, highly efficient antioxidant defense system.

What is the difference between Broccoli sprouts and Broccoli?

Broccoli has 5 stages: seed, sprout, microgreen, mature head, flower. Broccoli sprouts (3 day old) have 50-100x more Sulforaphane yield than microgreens and mature broccoli. Broccoli flower, while pretty, has the lowest yield and is the end of the broccoli plants life.

It's also important to note that not all broccoli sprouts are created equal. Most broccoli sprout products on the market are from extracts and not whole broccoli sprout. Extracts CAN NOT produce Sulforaphane efficiently - which means little to no benefits. Our 100% Whole Broccoli Sprout formula is tested throughout the process for the following

How many Broc Shot should I take per day?

When is the best time to have Broc Shot

Broc Shot is best taken in the morning with or without food. Many people feel a clean energy after taking it and may skip their daily coffee. Also while Broc Shot contains no caffeine or stimulants, consumption after 3pm may keep some people awake at night due to the clean energy it provides.

Is Broc Shot organic?

Our broccoli sprout powder is hydroganic which is a process that combines hydroponic and pesticide/herbicide-free cultivation systems.

We are so proud that we are NON-GMO and don’t ever use any agricultural / environmental chemical pesticides or herbicide residues.

How can I know if my produce or supplement has sulforaphane?

Regarding sulforaphane level - the easiest way to know that you have an optimal level (10-15mg) is that you see and feel benefits in days. If you are using a sulforaphane product and don’t feel / see tangible benefits, it’s likely an extract or grown from seeds that aren’t capable of yielding sulforaphane. Our 15mg sulforaphane yield is why we can guarantee you will see + feel benefits in days or your money-back.

How is Broc Shot made?

Seed selection:

Our process begins at seed selection. The seeds we use are a higher yield of sulforaphane than seeds a person could buy at a store or typically grow at home. We have a selective process that includes tests done at the seed level to help yield a consistent amount of at least 15mg of sulforaphane. There is a 20-fold variation in the bioactives in the seed and therefore a consumer can’t easily know the quality of the seed they are purchasing – nor will a supplier without testing them.

We are able obtain 15 mg SFN from approximately 12-15 grams of our fresh sprouts, being that they are the highest quality/yield seed. For reference to ingest 15mg of SFN from grocery store / or homegrown sprout, you would likely need to eat about 200-400 grams of sprouts.

Sprouting and cultivation:

We grow our sprouts to 3 days old, dry and mill them to make our broccoli sprout powder. While freeze-drying is considered by many to be the superior drying process for plant materials, for enzyme-based plants, it is destructive and so it is not appropriate for cruciferous plants. Our sprouts are NON-GMO and grown hydroganically, a process that combines hydroponic + pesticide/herbicide-free cultivation systems. We don't use any agricultural / environmental chemical pesticides or herbicide residues at any stage of our process.

Testing:

We test internally at multiple points during growing and manufacturing, including testing at seed level to determine which seeds will yield a strong sulforaphane level as well as third-party test each final batch to confirm it yields no less than (NLT) 15mg of sulforaphane. We also test for chemical residue + heavy metal contamination, as well as to assess the microbiological profile. No product is released unless it passes our strict standards.

Manufacturing:

We manufacture in facilities that are HACCP-certified + SQF certified (globally recognized Food Safety + Quality standards). We are compliant with GMP standards and registered with US FDA + TGA (Australian FDA).

How much broccoli sprouts are in a shot?

This is a common question but the answer is more nuanced. Our mission with BROC SHOT is to offer a consistent dose of Sulforaphane (SFN) of no less than 15mg. Our product is popular because getting SFN at a consistent dose from sprouts, mature broccoli and other supplements is pretty tough. SFN at the right dose is something you can see and feel in your body. If you are taking a SFN product or sprouts and not seeing and feeling benefits it’s likely that the SFN level is quite low or non-existent. There is such a wide variation in the seeds used for sprouting so comparing store bought/home grown sprouts to our product isn’t feasible. The seeds we use are typically higher yield of sulforaphane than for any seeds a person could buy and we have a selective process that includes tests done at the seed level to help yield a consistent amount of sulforaphane. There is a 20-fold variation in the bioactives in the seed and someone buying seeds for personal use can’t easily know the quality of the seed they are purchasing – nor will the supplier without testing them.

Typically we are able obtain 15 mg SFN from approximately 12-15 grams of our fresh sprouts, being that they are the highest quality/yield seed. But if a consumer had the lowest grade seed, you would need to eat about 200-400 grams of sprouts. Sprouts are very light, so that is a large volume of sprouts.

I have allergies, can I enjoy Broc Shot?

We went to great lengths to ensure Broc Shot was accessible for as many people as possible. Broc Shot is free of Dairy (including egg), Wheat, Gluten, Fish & Shellfish, Rice, Soy or Soy derivatives, Peanuts & Tree Nuts and Yeast.

We don’t use any artificial sweeteners, flavors, colors or preservatives - plus it’s Non-GMO . It’s also Halal, Kosher and Vegan friendly. Phew! So unless you have a cruciferous veggie or sulfur allergy, anyone can use Broc Shot.

Which flavor should I order?

BROC SHOT comes in three flavors.

ORIGINAL tastes earthy like a shot of broccoli juice.

GINGER + LIME and PINEAPPLE + MINT seamlessly mask the broccoli taste, are a touch sweeter and offer a nice pick-me-up flavor to start your day.

Will it make me gassy or bloated?

Sulforaphane helps rebalance gut microbiome, which can initially cause a mild laxative effect and mild gas in some users - similar to a probiotic or prebiotic. This effect usually chills out in 2-3 days so don't quit.

I'm pregnant / breastfeeding / taking medication, can I take Broc Shot?

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition or are taking any medication, we always recommmend that you consult your physician first.

If your package has been marked as delivered but you don’t see it on your doorstep, e-mail us at hello@brocshot.com and we’ll help track it down!

As we try our best to provide exceptional service, once a package has been delivered, we cannot guarantee reimbursement for missing packages unless the order has insurance protection. For this reason, we highly recommend adding Route protection to your order so that we can send a replacement right away.

My shipment was damaged. What do I do?

How much does shipping cost?

For all subscription orders shipping is FREE. For non-subscription orders shipping starts at $6. Expedited shipping starts at $18.73.

When will my order be shipped?

Orders placed before 2p PST typically ship the same day. Orders after 2p PST will ship the next business day.

How long does shipping take?

Standard shipping is 2-10 business days with most arriving 3-5 days. Expedited shipping is 1-5 business days.

Can I expedite shipping for my order?

Of course! Just choose the express shipping option at checkout.

Subscription

Is there any minimum commitment for a subscription?

There is no minimum and you can cancel or pause at any time.

How do I update my subscription shipping address?

Easy! Just log into your account, click Manage Subscriptions, click the product you are subscribed to and then click Edit. Here you can change your delivery date, schedule, add additional products or even pause your subscription. If you don't have an account email hello@brocshot.com and we'll send you a link to quickly set one up.

Can I add or change the products in my subscription?

Yes! Log into your account. Click Manage Subscriptions, click the product you are subscribed to and then click Edit. Here you can add additional products or even swap out products.

For subsequent shipments, customers are notified via email 3 days in advance of the next shipment to offer a few days to make any adjustments or even pause the subscription.
