Neither sprouts nor seeds have a higher sulforaphane yield just by the nature of their plant stage.  There are three key factors involved in sulforaphane yield including starting level of glucoraphanin in the seed (ours have 30x the level of sprouts) growth timing and processing.  Sprouts require more cultivation and processing and can have more degradation of sulforaphane during milling and drying.  We’ve worked with sprouts for a long time and nearly 30% of batches don’t meet our standard sulforaphane yield and cannot be put into our product.  This creates waste and is simply not sustainable.
