Broc Shot vs Probiotics
Many Broc Shot users may not require a probiotic. Probiotics introduce beneficial bacteria into your gut to support the gut microbiome. Yet, sulforaphane works differently, acting as a prebiotic that provides a strong food source, nurturing your gut microbiome while also helping to heal the gut lining. Additionally, natural sulforaphane helps reduce inflammation and detoxify the body.
Since sulforaphane offers numerous benefits, many users can reduce the number of supplements they take, often saving hundreds of dollars.
We recommend using sulforaphane as your baseline for approximately two weeks. If you still feel the need for a probiotic, add it back in. Yet, we don’t recommend combining a prebiotic with sulforaphane. Also, ensure your prebiotic source is not inulin (typically from chicory), as it can be inflammatory for many people.
Broc Shot vs Colostrum
There is limited transparency regarding the quality and sourcing of colostrum, as well as the effects of its manufacturing. Transparency is essential as colostrum only lasts a few days following milking. Pasteurization and fat removal can also degrade its efficacy.
Sulforaphane has over 1,000 peer-reviewed studies and has been researched since its discovery in the 1990’s. In addition, sulforaphane has several distinct advantages over colostrum in terms of inflammation, detoxification, gut health, and cancer prevention mechanisms.
Broc Shot vs Greens Powders
Broc Shot is NOT a greens powder. Broc Shot delivers one powerful ingredient: broccoli seed powder, along with its compound sulforaphane.
Sulforaphane addresses the three key pillars of wellness: gut health, inflammation and detoxification. Benefits may include more luminous skin, increased energy levels, improved digestion, better sleep quality and less anxiety.
Greens powders, on the other hand, are a mix of various plant powders and complexes, which may mean lower efficacy due to the volume of ingredients. Plus, many claims may lack scientific research to support them. Many greens powders can also cause bloating due to inulin, a common additive.
Health experts generally don’t recommend long-term use (typically beyond 24 weeks) and sensitivity to dosage can vary from person to person.
Broc Shot vs Collagen Powders
We lose approximately 1% of the collagen in our skin each year, and many are seeking solutions to help minimize the appearance of aging skin. While people consider collagen powders to offer a solution, we find that they offer minimal results and take over 12 weeks to begin showing a difference.
Why do they take so long? You simply can’t replace your skin's collagen with an ingestible collagen. Collagen powders must first be broken down into amino acids before being absorbed and used to produce collagen or other proteins, an indirect process that takes at least 6 to 12 weeks. Sulforaphane, by contrast, offers a faster and more direct natural alternative.
Sulforaphane has also been clinically demonstrated to help protect your collagen and support its natural production. The natural sulforaphane in Broc Shot activates instantly when mixed with water and begins to take effect in days, not weeks. Lastly, because collagen is derived from animals, it's not vegan, making Broc Shot an excellent alternative for vegan and raw diets.
